Heaviest book of the year! When this book arrived in the mail I knew it was a book but couldn't begin to guess what could be so heavy. What a surprise to see it was Andy Warhol Polaroids (Taschen). This massive volume comes in at a large 10x13 inches and 560 pages. Literally hundreds of polaroids taken by Andy Warhol are presented in full color. The polaroids are presented as objects so you see not only the image but the white border or the polaroid as well. There is a mixture of polaroids that are reproduced at actual size, and then some are at smaller size several to a page. The editors have done a good job of making sure the key portraits get full size treatment, and when they show a sequence of polaroids of the same person you will get one at full size with the others smaller. Reproduction quality is very good and the hardcover binding/presentation is sturdy and impressive in design. For Warhol fans this is the essential Polaroids book. Highly recomended!
This book is AMAZING. It's so large and beautiful. I never knew Andy Warhol made as many polaroids as he did. Everyone who's anyone was shot by Andy, he did a great job documenting a beautiful time in American art.

A+ all the way round! Taschen did a fine job with layout and print quality and what can you say about Warhol's Polaroids portraits other than fantastic! This is must have for any Warhol fan.
This book is SO heavy. It's huge. But very worth it. It's sitting on my coffee table - it's a great conversation piece and the photos in it are really cool. My favorite is a photo of Salvadore Dali and Alice Cooper -- how random! 5 stars :)
So cool to see some of these old photos. Who else could have stuck a camera in the face of David Bowie at a nightclub in the 70's without him caring.
Had seen this book @ the Hirshorn Museum gift shop & hubby wanted it but it was $$$. Found it on Amazon as a gift for him & he loves it.
This book is huge & heavy ! The pictures are great, brings you back to a great time in history. If you loved Andy, you need this book on your coffee table. Mine came in perfect condition & a at a great sale price ! No complaints here.
