About the Author
Robert Asiel left his home in Jersey City, New Jersey, as a sixteen-year-old seeking adventure and a new life. He boarded a Greyhound bus for Las Vegas where he worked as a pool attendant for several months then moved into the fast lane as a 21 dealer using a fake ID. He soon became a successful crossroader beating casinos until he was drafted into the U.S. Army. After a tour in Vietnam, he returned to a long crossroading career. Today, he lives near his family with his dog, Scout.

The author did a great job of informing his readers about the fascinating world of casino cheating. I know some of the people mentioned in this book and the stories are all true. This in not a work of fiction like other casino cheating books. Asiel is the real deal. This is a must read book.
This book is a must-read for casino lovers. It's very well written, action-packed, exciting and the title really fits the story. The writer caught the casinos sleepwalking and took advantage of them with his bag of tricks. It's great to see the casinos getting beat for a change. I didn't know casinos had actually cheated the public until I read this book where the writer quotes documented evidence of casinos closed for cheating. Too bad it isn't a novel with a sequel to follow.

The author writes in a style all his own just like the way he describes his and his partners casino experiences. Good reading for anyone interested in adventure stories and inside information about poker and casinos. .
The authenticity of the book is so accurate. I lived the same life as Asiel and he depicts it as it really was, and that period cannot be duplicated.The thing in dislike most is that most readers won't be able to feel what Asiel went through.

A unique memoir written clearly with much detail. I had worked in Nevada as a 21 dealer, a craps dealer, and a casino surveillance supervisor and was compelled to buy this book after reading the description at the Gambler's Book Store in Las Vegas. The 21 and poker moves the author describes were unknown to me during the time I had worked in Nevada, which was also the time the author hustled casinos there. It's quite possible I had dealt to him and later watched him and his crew beat 21 games from my surveillance room not having a clue what was happening. Whatever one thinks of the author's reasoning and ethics, it's an entertaining story that rings true. Every casino employee including surveillance personnel should read this book.
Incredible book brought back so many memories. I was fortunate too know a few characters in this book. Brilliantly written and explained that a person with no casino experience could understand Bravo!
There's enough material here for several exciting movies!
